When inspiration strikes, you never know where it’s going to take you.

In 2020, when Covid-19 struck, lifelong friends Steven Jackson and Carl Littles found themselves facing the same dilemma that confronted entrepreneurs across the nation: How to keep their business, the Original Barber School, going through the pandemic.

They hit upon an idea. What if they took the store’s apparel line, which they’d started almost as an afterthought for visitors to the barber shop, put it online, and built it up as a brand all its own?

A day later, Jackson and Littles launched OBS—Original Brand Style.

Born out of adversity, OBS represents the ethos of a community of people who do not waver in the face of challenges. Instead, they look to be inspired.

Bringing positivity to the world is the foundation of the OBS brand.

“No matter what, keep going,” said Jackson. “Don’t give up on yourself. And don’t let up.”
